Our director is Tricia Foster. Tricia holds a BFA in Theatre Arts performance from Stephens College and attended graduate school at the University of North Texas where she earned a Texas Teaching Certificate in Theatre Arts and English. She has been involved in theatre all her life as an actress, director, and stage manager, working at professional and community theatre venues. She has over 30 years of teaching experience, working with children of all ages.


Tricia, also known as “Drama Mama”, launched the Northeast Dallas and Rockwall Drama Kids program in 2006, she expanded into S. Collin County several years later and acquired Denton County Franchise in 2017. Tricia is passionate about boosting confidence in children through the magic of drama! Tricia is excited to have touched the lives of thousands and thousands of Drama Kids since then. The Dallas franchise is proud to have been named “Best Children’s Drama Program in DFW”, a recipient of a “Red Tricycle Award”, and the “National Franchise of the Year” Award for Drama Kids International.

4worldlovers: The Playground Acting Program offers premium acting classes for students ages 8 and up. The Playground Students learn acting techniques taught at the top universities for acting while mastering soft skills like public speaking skills, communication skills, and confidence.

We are located right across the street from SMU in the SMU Expressway Towers in Suite 700 on the 7th floor.

I love the Playground Acting Program. I took The Professional Aspects of Acting class in Spring 2021 and am now taking Adult Scene Study in Fall 2021. This program led me to getting my first ever callback for an audtion. The classes do a fabulous job of reinforcing various things I’ve learned in previous acting classes while teaching me several new techniques and new tools on how to approach a performance and auditions. All the teachers I have met thus far have been extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and are always there to answer any questions or listen to any of your concerns (and I feel like I can ask questions and voice my concerns in this environment which is great!). I plan to continue studying at Playground and recommend this program to all my friends!
