I have been teaching since 2010 Salsa, Bachata, Cumbia, Tejano, and Norteña in group and private dance lessons. I also do other things such as private parties where people hire me to perform and teach a class.

I am Mexican American who learn to dance in Dallas. I was born in the USA but raised in Mexico till I was 12. I been dancing for 20 years+ socially and professionally. As you can imagine, I absolutely love dancing and overall teaching it to other people. I’ve had the pleasure to teaching 1000’s of students at this point and still counting.

4worldlovers: Juleon has been dancing salsa and bachata for nearly 10 years and many other dances (merengue, semba, kizomba, cumbia, kompa, and freestyle) for much of his life. Taking a unique approach to dance, Juleon focuses more on concepts, not patterns. An IT Consultant and Project Manager by trade, Juleon enjoys and excels at breaking down the fundamentals of timing, body movement, and connection so that students can use those principles to build their own styles! Juleon has taught classes from Colombia to Singapore and is excited to share his love of dance and history with all who come through the studio doors. When he’s not dancing or working, Juleon enjoys pondering the connections between life, relationships, and partner dancing.

Pura Vida Afro-Latin Dance is passionate about the history, culture, language, and the dances of Afro- or Latin countries. Having traveled to over 20 countries in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean, PVALD instructors have the goal of bringing the experience, knowledge, and culture of the greater Afro-Latin Diaspora to you! At Pura Vida, we focus on concepts, not patterns and on history and cultural respect, not movement assimilation.

Sharmane Boudy fell in love with dance at the age of 7. Starting ballet at the boys and girls club in Anchorage Alaska, Sharmane’s early childhood was marked by frequent moves due to her father being in the military. Her passion for dance grew as a means of communicating and creating bonds with others. Quickly becoming fascinated with dance, Sharmane found herself studying various different styles; learning several new styles with each move. Sharmane has trained and performed with world champions all over the United States and continues to travel, train, and perform with world champions located around the US. Using her background, Sharmane now pulls from her over twenty years of experience to create her own form of movement in Latin dance. Excited to share her expertise with you, Sharmane looks forward to sharing her passion and connecting more deeply through the unifying power of dance.
