About IT Infrastructure & Operations Team
Infrastructure & Operations is the PSCU IT department responsible for all technology infrastructure and its operations, as well as the operations and production support of all enterprise applications. The department is made up of two teams:
• Infrastructure - The infrastructure team is responsible for the technology used by the company daily to deliver services to our member credit unions. This technology includes voice and data networks, telephony, storage, servers, data centers, cloud, and end-user devices.
• Operations - the operations team is responsible for the support and operations of all production applications and their supporting infrastructures. This includes all levels of the tiered production support model, as well as support for application implementation, and tier 3 development.
I&O Internship Goals and Objectives
The purpose of this engagement is for an I&O intern to help PSCU design, develop and implement a streamlined and efficient process and associated technical capabilities for running day to day IT Operations.
The intern will collaborate with teams across PSCU to:
• Document current processes used to run day to day IT Operations
• Processes include steps followed to address alerts, major and non-major incidents reported, working with other PSCU teams, external FI connect, capacity planning, performance analysis etc.
• Access efficiency of documented processes and find opportunities to improve.
• Identify and assess how existing technology solutions such as Vitor Ops, SPLUNK, Service Now, Solarwinds etc. that could be used to improve the process and overall availability
• Document the desired end-state and the process improvements and solutions needed to reach that documented state.

In our program, interns will engage with a group of their peers in acquiring a knowledge foundation in Credit Unions, the financial industry, Six Sigma, preparing for a job search, presentation skills, and more. You will also be given opportunities to network directly with industry leaders at PSCU.
PSCU Intern Program Entry Qualifications
• Completion of sophomore or junior year in an accredited undergraduate degree program with a 3.0/4.0 GPA at time of application.
