Traditional Japanese tattooing, aka Irezumi, originated during the Edo period (1603-1868). Mythological creatures like dragons, kirins, and phoenixes are common imagery of the Japanese tattoo style. Every tattoo done in the Irezumi style tells a story about Japan’s rich past, and creates an Irezumi masterpiece that is deeply powerful.

Scott Cooksey began tattooing in 1995. In the early days, Scott tattooed in shops in Dallas’ Deep Ellum and downtown districts. Scott quickly fine-tuned his skills and moved up the ladder in the Dallas tattoo scene. Before opening Lone Star Tattoo in 2005, Scott spent part of each year on the road traveling to other tattoo shops around the country as a guest artist and attending tattoo conventions.

We take the time to learn what each customer wants to create, and then turn it into a design that suits your style and needs.

Tejashua tattooed myself and my wife’s wedding rings, he was great. Even when the power went out he strapped on a battery pack and head lamp and completed the job. Saints and sinners is a super friendly approachable place with great artists. Go check them out.

Went here for a chest piece from David. He was doing a spider on right pectoral muscle. The session was fine but when I got back to the house to check out my tattoo I noticed it was incomplete, there was no shadow, and he miscolored some areas. I've had this happen before so I just reschedule d and went in again to get it finished. Well this time David was upset that I came back and he didn't even fix it and he was eating a taco the entire time he was tattooing me so you could tell he didn't care at all. Luckily my friend who is a tattoo artist moved to Dallas and he fixed it superbly since he is actually an award winning artist and the ones here aren't really that good. Please look at their portfolios and notice the shoddy line work andlack of any real creativity. To be fair most shops around here suck but are just lucky most people have terrible tastes. 4worldlovers: My friend and I walked in to get piercings. Ryan did both of ours, he was very thorough, customer service was great, and it didn’t hurt at all. I’ve had this piercing twice before and it never healed this well before. My friends piercing turned out super cute as well. I’ll definitely be back to talk tattoo!!

I’m in love with this place!!! Austin and Catfish were both super great! Austin did my first tattoo with my best friend and he was super cool about the whole process and it was an amazing experience. I will be back soon to get another one!

The atmosphere is great , I came in as a walk in and was happily greeted. I chose a tattoo from the Halloween flash. I got tattooed by Santi , cool guy and he did a hell of a job on my tat. I will be coming back for more. Definitely a great shop

My mother and I had a day together and it involved us getting tattoos from Ernest. We would like to say this place was nice, clean and the guys that worked in this shop were super nice also very respectful. I was getting my first tattoo and I was so amazed, not bad at all. Ernest did an amazing job on both of our tattoos. We will definitely recommend this place.

I had my eyebrow pierced here last week. I had some pain during the procedure. Jesse made sure I was okay when I expressed it (I was). So far it's healing nicely. Everyone was very kind and professional. I also like that Jesse said to come back in a couple weeks to follow up and change out the jewelry if I need something smaller by then, which I'll definitely be doing.

This absolute queen named Jack pierced my septum and she absolutely slayed it!!! I was a little nervous at first but this queen made the whole process so easy and simple I love her and will definetly be going back again for my next piercing


Skylar did an excellent job on my first arm tattoo, and was able to incorporate all of my favorite colors into this cute strawberry monster. I can’t wait to go back for the next one!

I went in for a navel piercing and upon entrance, the environment was friendly and clean. I got my piercing done by Lua and she was so sweet, made me feel so comfortable, and explained everything in detail down to the aftercare. She was very gentle and professional. I’ll be going back here to get any of my piercings/tattoos done from here on out.
