Lockhart Smokehouse is the only destination in all of DFW where you can find Kreuz Market Sausage, served on butcher paper, just like the original.
Our mouth watering brisket, sausage, ribs and other meats are smoked over Texas post oak. Updated versions of classic southern sides and some Schmidt family favorites round out the menu.
Of course, what is Texas barbecue without cold beer? Lockhart Smokehouse has great Texas beers and brews on draft, plus a wide selection of ice cold bottles ready for your drinking pleasure.
Beer not your thing? We also have a full bar with specialty cocktails to go along with your Texas BBQ.
Most of the legendary meat palaces in Central Texas use the counter service method, and Lockhart Smokehouse is no different. When you enter, head on over to the counter to order, pick up your food, and pay. The counter is at the back of the restaurant next to the smoker. The meat is pulled off the smoker and sliced specifically for your order.
We charge by the half pound, but you don’t have to order a full half pound. You can order two slices of brisket… one rib, it’s up to you.
